[BESAdmin-Announcements] Content Modification Announcement - Hotfix 935448

[Announcements for BES Administrators]

Microsoft updated KB article 925902 and 935448 last Friday to inform
users of additional third-party programs affected by the issue caused by
MS07-017 and MS07-008.

 

The original release of Hotfix 935448 through BigFix targeted only
machines that have MS07-017, MS07-008, and "Realtek HD Audio Control
Panel" installed.  The relevance has now been modified to target
machines that have both MS07-017 and MS07-008 installed, regardless of
other third-party applications installed.  This change allows BES
administrators to decide when to deploy the update, since additional
third-party applications might also be affected.

ID 93544801 - 935448: Certain third-party applications may not start,
and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal
System DLL Relocation." - Windows XP SP2

ID 93544802 - 935448: CORRUPT PATCH - Windows XP SP2
