[BESAdmin-Announcements] Content Modification Announcement - Parent Relevance Change in "Patches for Windows" Sites

[Announcements for BES Administrators]

The parent relevance used in the "Patches for Windows" sites to target
32-bit Windows has been modified to support Windows Vista.  The
existence of an additional registry value is now being checked to
prevent the relevance from evaluating to TRUE on Windows Vista x64
editions:

 

not exists key
"HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion" whose
(exists value "ProductId" of it OR exists value "CommonFilesDir" of it)
of registry AND not exists values "PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE" whose (it as
string as lowercase = "ia64") of keys
"HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" of
registry

 

Because of this change, any baselines that contain the outdated parent
relevance will report "Source fixlet differs".  BES administrators are
encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize baselines to adjust
the parent relevance for Windows Vista.  Instructions for synchronizing
