BigFix Inventory delivers increased value and demonstrates HCL’s commitment to both HCL and IBM customers.

There are six key features of HCL BigFix Inventory 10.0.6.0:


  *   Contracts management enhancements
     *   Support for ELA (Enterprise License Agreement)
     *   Added option to import contract data from CSV file
     *   One-click contract data migration from deprecated Contracts management panel
     *   API for integration with external systems


  *   Management of default metric used by Bundling Assistant
Product & Metrics report is updated with option to set default metric. This information is visible now in a new column.


  *   Shared disks scan enhancements
     *   Default configuration changed to ignore ‘.snapshot’ directories
     *   Scan actions with validation for explicit shared disks include definition


  *   Software Catalog version 10.0.6.0 
Added discovery capability for 500+ software versions for number of software titles and publishers, such as Adobe, Citrix, Microsoft, SAP, Splunk, VMware and many more.


  *   Technical equivalence to IBM License Metric Tool 9.2.24

     *   WebSphere Application Server Liberty is updated to version 21.0.0.8

Actions needed: 
To upgrade the BigFix Inventory server to application update 10.0.6.0, run the Upgrade to the latest version of BigFix Inventory fixlet from the BigFix console.

To upgrade the BigFix Inventory scanner, run the Install or Upgrade scanner fixlet from the BigFix console. 

To apply new discovery capability, run the Software Catalog Update fixlet from the BigFix console and then wait for the next data import.
