Expanded "BES Inventory and License" now covers Mac OS X and several new
Windows applications:

 

New analyses have been published to the "BES Inventory and License" site
that allow you to audit software and hardware inventory for your Mac OS
X clients, as well as retrieve information regarding several new Windows
applications. Examples of the new capabilities include:

*         Network Information (Mac OS X) - Domain, Domain Search Path,
Workgroup, DNS Servers, IP Addresses, MAC Addresses, Subnet Masks, etc.
*         Operating System Information (Mac OS X) - OS Name, OS Release,
Uptime, Local Time Zone, etc.
*         Hardware Information (Mac OS X) - CPU, Current RAM, Serial
Number, Machine Model, Free Space of Volumes, etc.
*         VMWare Workstation Information - Version, Product ID, Serial
Number, License Version, etc.
*         Adobe Product Detection - Detects installed versions of Adobe
Reader, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
*         Microsoft Project Version Detection - Full Name of Installed
Project Application, Project Version and Service Pack Level.
 

Expanded "Client Manager for Anti-Virus":

 

A new Wizard and two new analyses are now available in the "Client
Manager for Anti-Virus" site that can be used to manage McAfee VirusScan
On-Demand Scan using BES. The new McAfee On-Demand Scan Wizard allows
users to schedule scans and configure McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i
on BES Client computers, and the "McAfee VirusScan: On-Demand Scan -
Configuration Information" analyses can be activated to retrieve
On-Demand Scan settings for McAfee VirusScan 7.0 and 8.0.
