[BESAdmin-Announcements] Content Modification Announcement

Annoucements for BES Administrators besadmin-announcements at bigmail.bigfix.com
Fri Aug 18 10:44:18 PDT 2006

Modifications have been made to 2 Fixlet messages in the "Enterprise
Security" site. Previously, BES Clients vulnerable to MS06-048 and set
to use the "Administrative Install" office deployment method will report
relevant to both the "Windows 9x/ME" and the "Windows NT/2000/XP/2003"
versions of the Fixlet message. If the correct action was deployed, both
Fixlet messages will no longer be relevant, but if the incorrect action
was deployed, the client will report back as "Failed". The Fixlet
relevance has been modified to correct this behavior. Affected BES
Clients should no longer report back relevant for both Fixlet messages.

Affected Fixlet messages:

604805 MS06-048: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Could Allow Remote
Code Execution - PowerPoint 2002 - Windows NT/2000/XP/2003
(Administrative Install)

604807 MS06-048: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Could Allow Remote
Code Execution - PowerPoint 2002 - Windows 9x/ME (Administrative
Install)

BES Administrators are encouraged to verify open actions involving these
updates. Please contact BigFix Technical Support if you have any
questions regarding this change.
