Fixlet Description: Microsoft released a patch that eliminates a privilege elevation vulnerability exists on Windows XP Service Pack 1 on the identified Windows services where the permissions are set by default to a level that may allow a low-privileged user to change properties associated with the service. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could take complete control of an affected system. After downloading and installing this patch, affected computers will no longer be susceptible to these vulnerabilities.
