[Announcements for BES Administrators]

BigFix Patch is pleased to announce the extension of its supported
operating systems to include Oracle Linux 10 on the x86_64 architecture.

New Site and Content Details

The new site called ‘Patches for Oracle Linux 10’, utilizes dnf as the
default package manager. This site provides comprehensive patching content
derived from the following Oracle Linux 10 channels:

   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - BaseOS
   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - AppStream
   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - CodeReady Builder
   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - Addons
   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - Developer
   -

   Oracle Linux 10 - UEKR8

Mandatory Implementation Prerequisites

Successful implementation of Oracle Linux 10 patching requires adherence to
the following conditions:

   1.

   Client Requirement: Oracle Linux 10 necessitates the use of BigFix
   Client version 11.0 Patch 5 (11.0.5.204).
   2.

   Site Subscription:
   -

      Subscribers must enable the ‘Patches for Oracle Linux 10’ site via
      the License Overview Dashboard.
      -

      If the site is not visible, a license update must be performed by
      clicking ‘Check for license update’ within the dashboard, followed by
      execution of the BigFix Administration Tool.
      3.

   Required Plugin: The Patches for Oracle Linux 10 site relies on the
   latest version of OEL Download Plugin, which is accessible through the
   Manage Download Plugins dashboard located within the Patching Support site.
