updates. Use the BigFix Inventory, BigFix Inventory Discovery and BigFix
Scanner sites for this and the future updates. BigFix Inventory v11 is a
continuation of BigFix Inventory v10. *

Key features in HCL BigFix Inventory 11.0.3.0:

* Scan-to-Report time reduced
A new Continuous Discovery Processing option enables BigFix Inventory
server to collect and process scan data shortly after it is uploaded from
the endpoint to the BigFix server, not waiting for scheduled data import.
New Computers, new Package Data, new Scan Data, and new Software Instance
records can be explored on the same day when the scan data is available.

* Spend Management
  The new financial layer in reporting offers deeper insights and greater
control.
  - New *Spend Overview* dashboard provides deep financial visibility and

all stored purchase documents and their metadata e.g. expense, cost center,
renewal dates.

* Support for new systems as managed devices
  - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 on zSystems by using the BigFix client
  - Windows Server 2025

* Security enhancements
  - IBM WebSphere Liberty was updated to version 25.0.0.2.
  - Java updated to Semeru v17.0.12.1 for the server and components.
  - A number of other libraries have been updated.

*Note: If your BigFix Inventory version is 10.0.10 or above, use the BigFix
Inventory, BigFix Inventory Discovery and BigFix Scanner sites to upgrade
the BigFix Inventory server to version 11.x and update the scanner and
server software catalog. If your BigFix Inventory version is older than
10.0.10.0, contact HCL support for instructions.*
Starting from this release, *Initiate Software Scan* and *Upload Software
Scan Results* actions require BigFix Inventory Server 10.0.4 or higher! For

Upgrading BigFix Inventory Server from the 10.x to 11.x. version has a few
additional steps to be followed before and after the standard upgrade
procedure. Those steps are one-time tasks. For more details, check

To upgrade the *BigFix Inventory server* to application update 11.0.3.0,
run the *Upgrade to the latest version of BigFix Inventory* fixlet from the
BigFix console and the new BigFix Inventory site.
