BigFix Inventory delivers increased value and demonstrates HCL’s commitment
towards HCL and IBM customers.


There are nine key features in HCL BigFix Inventory 10.0.14.0:


   - Enhanced Oracle Databases report for Database identification
      - Idea BFINV-I-264: Detailed Version column added into report,
      available for filtering and for data export
   - Enhanced VM Managers report for Computer and Datasource identification
   - New REST API for Cluster State view and Container Solution
   - Improved Scanner Catalog distribution to the endpoints
      - If automated scanner catalog distribution is configured, then this
      new way of distribution is automatically used
      - New procedure is required in case manual scanner catalog
      distribution option is used - see release notes for procedure details
   - Software Catalog version 10.0.14.0
   - Discovery for Eclipse Temurin OpenJDK and JRE, IBM Semeru Runtime JDK
      and JRE Open Edition
      - Idea BFINV-I-220: Added discovery for Ansible Tower
   - Updated End of Support information for Microsoft software
   - Technical equivalence to IBM License Metric Tool 9.2.32
      - Note: The new version is under certification process by IBM on the

   - Support for new platforms and systems that includes the following:
      - Oracle Cloud VMware Solution – new VM manager type

      - IBM Java updated to 8.0.8.10
      - Number of other libraries are updated

*Actions needed:*

To upgrade the BigFix Inventory server to application update 10.0.14.0, run
the *Upgrade to the latest version of BigFix Inventory* fixlet from BigFix
console.


To upgrade the BigFix Inventory scanner, run the *Install or Upgrade
scanner* fixlet from BigFix console.


To apply new discovery capability, run the *Software Catalog Update* fixlet
from BigFix console and then wait for the next data import.

A new procedure is required *in case manual scanner catalog distribution
option is used* - see release notes for procedure details.
