Content in the ESU Patching Add-on for Windows 7 site has been added:

ESU Key Management: Opt-out from "Minimize WMI Usage" feature in ESU - Windows 7 SP1

Content in the ESU Patching Add-on for Windows 7 site has been modified:
Relevance for all ESU patch fixlets (and their corresponding Unentitled fixlets) has been updated to check for the appropriate ESU key year (Year 1, Year 2, etc), and to use the ESU key list stored in _BESClient_WinESU_Keys if the endpoint has been opted-in to use the Minimize WMI client setting _BESClient_WinESU_MinimizeWMI.

Reason for Update:
* Preparation for Year 2 of Microsoft's ESU program which begins in February.
* The WMI queries used to identify installed ESU keys to determine eligibility for ESU patches can cause higher than expected CPU utilization in certain cases.  The client setting to minimize WMI usage allows customers to "opt-in" to using a client setting to store a list of installed ESU keys so that the WMI queries can be run less often.  A section will be added to the online documentation at https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/9.5/patch/Patch/Patch_ESU/c_introduction.html before the upcoming Patch Tuesday.
BEHAVIOR OF THE SITE IS UNCHANGED UNLESS ENDPOINTS ARE OPTED-IN TO USE THE NEW FEATURE.

Actions to Take:
Sync any baselines you may have created with the modified content.
