[Announcements for BES Administrators]

The IBM BigFix OS Deployment team is pleased to announce the release of OS 
Deployment and Bare Metal Imaging 3.8.

What's new in this release:

* Multicast support for Reimaging and Bare Metal Deployments on Windows 
targets
        * Support for deployments using multicast communication

* Driver Management enhancements
        * New Check Drivers Tab in the Driver Library where you can check 
if all the needed device drivers are available before you begin deployment
        * Non_PCI drivers can now be bound to WinPE engines

* Support of VMware ESXi 6 for Bare Metal Deployments 

* Improvements for Bare Metal Deployments
        * When you create a Bare Metal Profile for Windows images, you can 
choose to assign the Primary and Secondary relays for the targets to the 
          Bare Metal Server and to the BigFix server respectively
        * After a Bare Metal deployment, you can specify a final action 
that will be completed on the target computer

Actions to take: 

This release is an update of the existing site. No immediate actions are 
required and the current product will continue to function normally. Some 
changes were made to existing features and to the User Interface. 
To take advantage of the new features, you may need to create a new 3.8 
MDT Bundle and update your Bare Metal Servers to Tivoli Provisioning 
Manager for OS Deployment 7.1.1 Fixpack 19.
Tivoli Provisioning Manager for OS Deployment can be downloaded from 
FixCentral. In airgapped or proxy environments, you may need to cache 
files on the BigFix Server and/or the Console.
