[Announcements for BES Administrators]

Content in the Patches for AIX  fixlet Site has been modified.

Published site version: 
Patches for AIX version 261.
BES Support version 880.

Reason for Update:
Added remediation to Technology Level and Service Pack fixlets along with 
new AIX plugin and localization support.  Additionally there is an update 
to download cacher to increase speed and eliminates FTP transfers. Revised 
download and extraction of service packs to solely be located in BES 
default data directory. 


Actions to Take: 
Run the "BES Relay/Server: Register Download Plug-in for AIX" Task (ID 
53).


Notes:
On an AIX system, the OS level is determined by evaluating what Authorized 
Program Analysis Reports (APARs) apply to the filesets that are installed. 
The lowest OS level with at least one applicable APAR is the OS level 
reported by the system. This method of determining the OS level may result 
in a different OS level than expected being reported after deploying a 
bundled update.
