IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager for Security and Compliance 

Security Configuration Management (SCM)


The IBM Endpoint Manager team is pleased to announce the availability of 
two new wizards for creating custom Fixlets within the Security and 
Compliance product.

The two new wizards -- "Create Custom Relevance SCM Content" and "Create 
Custom Unix SCM Content" -- allow you to easily create custom SCM Fixlets 
within the TEM Console without having to use an external tool. These 
wizards provide significant benefits over creating the Fixlets manually:

Fixlets created via the wizards are correctly formatted to work with the 
Security and Compliance Analytics application. 
Desired value settings can be configured directly in the wizard.
The  "Create Custom Relevance SCM Content"  wizard allows the user to 
specify the Compliance Relevance, Desired Value, Analysis (Measured Value) 
Relevance and Remediation ActionScript in a single interface.
The "Create Custom Unix SCM Content" wizard allows the user to specify a 
shell script that determines Compliance state and Analysis (Measured 
Value) contents and a shell script that remediates non-compliance.

*Note*
These wizards will work with any custom site content created within the 
TEM Security & Compliance product with version 8.1+.
