[BESAdmin-Announcements] New Endpoint Dependency Resolution for SuSE Linux Enterprise!

[Announcements for BES Administrators]

IBM is pleased to announce the general availability of endpoint based
dependency resolution content for SuSE Linux Enterprise patches.  The
existing Patches for SLE10, Patches for SLE11, and Linux RPM Patching sites
have been updated to reflect the changes.

Highlights include:
- Endpoint dependency resolution for SuSE Linux Enterprise patches: This
replaces the previous server-side dependency resolution implementation
released in January 2011.
- Improved workflow and streamlined user interface: The endpoint dependency
resolution implementation eliminates the need to manage minimum package
lists (MPLs) since all dependency calculations take place on the targeted
system.  Simplified configuration options make deploying SuSE Linux
Enterprise patches quick and easy.
- More granular control over preference list settings: Preference lists
reside on the endpoint, allowing administrators complete control over the
configuration options for each system.
