[BESAdmin-Announcements] [BES Asset Discovery] Content Modification Announcement - New Version of the Asset Discovery Import Service Available

BigFix has modified content in the Asset Discovery site. The following Fixlet messages have been updated:

      ID: 15      Upgrade Nmap Asset Discovery Import Service - BES >= 7.0
ID: 14      Install Nmap Asset Discovery Import Service - BES >= 7.0


This set of tasks will remedy the issue of "down hosts" appearing in the Unmanaged Assets tab of the BigFix console. "Down hosts" are classified by Nmap as addresses which do not respond to network pings. The latest version of the Asset Discovery Import Service will filter out these addresses from the console view.

BES administrators are encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize baselines that contain the modified content.
