[Announcements for BES Administrators]

BigFix has modified content in the BigFix DSS Software Asset Management site. Several changes and additions are now available that update the reliability and accuracy of software inventory and license management in DSS SAM. For instance:

 *   Dashboard
    *   Updates to ensure compatibility with forthcoming BigFix Platform release
    *   "Activate All" analyses link fixed
    *   Addition of "Upgrade SAM Scanner" link
 *   Tasks & Analyses
    *   All tasks and analyses updated to use client settings instead of registry values where applicable
    *   Several new properties added to SAM Scan Information Analysis - "Scan Output Directory", "Debug Logging Enabled", and "Included File Extensions"
    *   Installed Application Information analysis has been updated to accommodate recent and upcoming Microsoft product releases
    *   Actions for Search and Upload tasks have been modified
    *   Uninstall task now removes all client settings and registry settings

To take advantage of these important updates, you must ensure your BigFix server gathers the most recent BigFix DSS Software Asset Management site. BES administrators are encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize baselines that contain the modified content.
