[Announcements for BES Administrators]

BigFix, an IBM Company, has released Download Plug-in install, upgrade, and uninstall tasks for the following sites:

Linux RPM Patching
Patches for RedHat Enterprise Linux
Patches for Solaris
Patches for Solaris Maintenance
Patches for SUSE Linux Enterprise Linux

Download Plug-ins are a new feature for the 8.0 platform.  They replace previous download cacher functionality by dynamically fetching downloads at action deploy time rather than downloading files as part of a separate setup step.  Download Plug-ins require minimal configuration, but must be set up with proper credentials to access vendor patches.
