We¹re pleased to announce the general availability of DSS SAM 1.0.1!
Currently-licensed DSS SAM customers should now download the update and all
associated product documentation using the same URL you received from BigFix
Licensing when you purchased the product.

Changes in DSS SAM 1.0.1 include:
* Software Catalog updates (over 1700 new software product updates have been
added since the initial 1.0 release)
* Critical bug fixes
* Performance improvements

All deployments of DSS SAM 1.0 are encouraged to upgrade to 1.0.1.

The DSS SAM version 1.0.1 installer contains a full installation of the web
application and database component of the product ‹ an installation of DSS
SAM 1.0 is not a pre-requisite. However, if DSS SAM 1.0 is already installed
in your environment (confirm this by ensuring ³Build 19756² appears in the
lower right corner of the DSS SAM web application), you may upgrade to
version 1.0.1 without uninstalling the previous version. To do this,
download DSS SAM 1.0.1 and run the installer on the computer where DSS SAM
1.0 is running, ensuring that the DSS SAM database server is running and
accessible. The installer will automatically detect DSS SAM 1.0 in your
environment and replace it with version 1.0.1 in the same environment
without affecting your application data or configurations. Upon successful
installation, log in to the DSS SAM web application and confirm the build
number in the lower right corner ­ it should read ³Build 21680² for DSS SAM
1.0.1. This validates that the correct build is installed and you¹re
connected to the database.
