[BESAdmin-Announcements] Content Modification Announcement - BES Support - Obsolete Content

BigFix has removed several sets of obsolete content in the BES Support
site.

1. BigFix no longer supports BES Components version 5.0 and earlier.

The following Fixlet messages for obsolete BES Components have been
removed from the site:

ID: 190 Uninstall BES Relay - InstallShield 7
ID: 241 BES Server Setting: Change Web Reports Port Number
ID: 245 Updated BES Installation Folders Now Available! (Version 5.0.14)
ID: 246 Updated BES Server Now Available! (Version 5.0.14)
ID: 256 Switch BES Client Action Site Masthead - BES Relay
ID: 257 Updated BES Console Now Available! (Version 5.0.14)
ID: 258 Updated BES Relay Now Available! (Version 5.0.13)
ID: 346 Windows Firewall is Blocking BES Traffic - BES Relay/Server <
5.1.1.50


2. The BigFix Consumer Client is also not supported, and the following
Fixlet message has been removed:

ID: 16  BigFix Consumer Client Present on Your Network


3. The following Fixlet messages for dial-up connections and download
throttling have been superseded by new download throttling features in
BES 5.0 and above:

ID: 38  BES Clients Using Dial-Up Connections
ID: 39  BES Clients are Locked and no Longer Using Dial-Up Connections
ID: 72  Download Throttling Enabled - BES Clients No Longer Using
Dial-up Connection


4. The following Analyses have been superseded by the BES Inventory and
License site. A "False" relevance will be added in a timeframe of no
less than one month.

ID: 214 Application Information (Windows)
ID: 215 OS Language Information (Windows)
ID: 216 Operating System Information (Windows)
ID: 217 Network Information (Windows)


BES administrators are encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize
baselines that contain the modified content.  Instructions for
synchronizing baselines can be found here:
