Microsoft released 7 security bulletins on Tuesday, all with maximum
severity ratings of "Critical".  The release includes security updates
for publicly known vulnerabilities documented in Microsoft Security
Advisories 935964 and 933052.  The release also introduces the first
security updates for Office 2007, Exchange 2007, and CAPICOM/BizTalk
Server 2004.

 

The relevance for the MS07-026 Exchange 2000 update has been modified
since its initial release.  The original relevance incorrectly checked
for the Exchange 2003 vulnerable file versions instead of those for
Exchange 2000.  BES administrators can deploy the update successfully
but the "CORRUPT PATCH" Fixlet message would report relevant after the
update is installed.  The file check relevance has been corrected to
match the appropriate file versions.

In addition, several sets of updates have been replaced by the newly
released bulletins.  Affected content has been modified accordingly:

700215-700219

Completely superseded by MS07-024: 701401-701411

Completely superseded by MS07-025: 701501-701510

Completely superseded by MS07-026: 601901-601906, 602901-602906

Completely superseded by MS07-027: 701601-701612, 701605-701616

Partially superseded by MS07-027: 701617-701618

 

BES administrators are encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize
baselines that contain the modified content.  Instructions for
