[BESAdmin-Announcements] Content Modification Announcement - Enterprise Security

Microsoft released 6 bulletins and re-released 2 bulletins on Tuesday.
Minor changes have been made to two sets of Fixlet messages since its
initial release.

 

1. The relevance for the MS07-030 Visio 2003 update has been modified to
include Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.  The original relevance did not
target Windows 2000 SP4, but subsequent testing indicated that it is
affected and the update can be applied. 

 

Modified content:

ID 703003: "MS07-030: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Visio Could Allow
Remote Code Execution - Visio 2003 SP2 (Network/Local Install)"

 

2. The relevance for the MS07-033 patch for Windows 2000 SP4 has been
updated to properly detect additional vulnerable file versions.

IE 6.0 SP1 - Windows 2000 SP4"

ID 703306: "MS07-033: CORRUPT PATCH - IE 6.0 SP1 - Windows 2000 SP4"

ID 703311: "MS07-033: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer -
IE 5.01 SP4 - Windows 2000 SP4"

ID 703312: "MS07-033: CORRUPT PATCH - IE 5.01 SP4 - Windows 2000 SP4"

 

In addition, several sets of updates have been replaced by the newly
released and re-released bulletins.  Affected content has been modified
accordingly:

BES administrators are encouraged to verify open actions and synchronize
baselines that contain the modified content.  Instructions for
