[BESAdmin-Announcements] x64 Windows Patch Support for Older BES Agents Ending

[Announcements for BES Administrators]

On March 1st 2007, BigFix will no longer support Windows x64 patches for
pre-BES 6.0 agents.  Previously, BigFix offered limited support for BES
5.1 and earlier agents (which had only limited inspection capabilities
on x64 Windows operating systems).  This limited support will end after
March 1st, 2007 and no additional x64 Windows patch content will be
provided for pre-6.0 BES agents.

 

BES 6.0 agents released in April 2006 adds full inspection capabilities
on x64 Windows.  Complete x64 Windows patch coverage is available for
BES 6.0+ clients and will continue to be fully supported.  BigFix
recommends upgrading your BES Clients to version 6.0 as soon as possible
for full patch coverage.  If you have any questions or concerns
regarding this change, please contact BigFix Technical Support.

 

Only Windows x64 computers are affected by this change.
