[Announcements for BES Administrators]

We are pleased to announce updates to BigFix AntiPest, BigFix AntiVirus,
and BigFix Firewall.

 

We have added new features to BigFix AntiPest, BigFix AntiVirus, and
BigFix Firewall, and included minor bug fixes and enhancements
throughout. In addition, all of these product extensions now use the
latest versions of the BES Client Logging Service, which also includes
several enhancements and bug fixes.

 

BigFix AntiPest

 

Updates to BigFix AntiPest 2.0 include a new dashboard to replace the
existing overview, and a refreshed wizard with a new simplified and
streamlined user interface.  The underlying engine has also been updated
to fix an issue where an all drives scan could potentially skip some
drives.

 

The BigFix AntiPest Run Statistics and Configuration analyses have been
updated as well.  You will need to reactivate both analyses to ensure
data in the new dashboard displays correctly.

 

BigFix AntiVirus

 

BigFix AntiVirus has been restructured to be more efficient. The minimum
OS for BigFix AntiVirus is now Windows 2000.

 

BigFix Firewall

 

The BigFix Firewall Statistics analysis has been updated to support
changes to the dashboard that allow you to filter graphs and statistics
by time period and firewall policy.  The statistics analysis will need
to be re-activated to take advantage of these changes.

 

Firewall has new features, including a new analysis -- BigFix Firewall
Configuration -- to track firewall configuration options and a new Task
to configure client compliance evaluation.

 

BigFix AntiThreat

 

BigFix AntiPest, BigFix AntiVirus, and BigFix Firewall, as well as
Client Manager for AntiVirus are now available as part of the BigFix
AntiThreat Solution Pack. If you have previously purchased BigFix
AntiPest or BigFix AntiVirus seperately, or purchased an earlier version
of AntiThreat without BigFix Firewall and Client Manager for AntiVirus,
and are interested in upgrading, please contact your sales
representative or email sales at bigfix.com.
