[BESAdmin-Announcements] Update: BES 6.0 Information

In the last few weeks, we have been getting many questions around BES
6.0 and we wanted to answer some common questions that we have been
receiving regarding BES 6.0.
 
BES 6.0 current status:
- BES 6.0 has been released for approximately 2 months now.
- Our best information indicates that the majority of BES customers are
now running BES 6.0 (somewhere around 60-70%).
- The largest deployment of BigFix that has updated to BES 6.0 currently
has 85,000 computers (1 main BES Server / 1300 relays / 85,000
computers).
- BigFix still offers support for BES 5.1, but we recommend that all
customers upgrade to BES 6.0 to take advantage of the newest features
and fixes. The upgrade is free for all current BigFix customers.
- BES 6.0 features can be found at

BES 6.0 was recently reviewed against 4 other products by eWeek and BES
6.0 earned the "Analyst's Choice award". Check out the article to see

BES 6.0.7 released:
There is a new non-essential patch update to BES 6.0. The new version
BES 6.0.7 replaces version 6.0.5 as the current release.
- The changes in 6.0.7 are considered minor or only affect a small
percentage of users. If you are experiencing an issue that is fixed in
BES 6.0.7, you can upgrade any or all components. If you are not
affected by one of the changes, you do not need to upgrade.
- Information about the changes in 6.0.7 is available at

- Individual download links and upgrade information for the new version
are available at http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=356.
- All components of BES 6.0.7 are fully forwards and backwards
compatible with all BES 6.0.x versions.
- If you currently have 6.0.5, you will not be offered upgrade Fixlet
messages to 6.0.7 because 6.0.7 is a non-essential release. (However,
the current upgrade Fixlet messages can be easily modified to upgrade to
6.0.7 from 6.0.5).
