Microsoft published two Security Advisories on February 7th to warn users of
newly discovered security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and Windows
Service Access Control Lists (ACLs). The vulnerabilities exist in older
versions of Windows and Internet Explorer.

Security Advisory 913333: "Vulnerability in Internet Explorer Could Allow
Remote Code Execution"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/913333.mspx

Security Advisory 914457: "Possible Vulnerability in Windows Service ACLs"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/914457.mspx

Microsoft recommends upgrading affected systems to the latest service pack
level to help protect against the vulnerabilities. Existing Fixlet messages
in the "Patches for Windows" sites can be used to deploy the latest service
pack updates for Windows and Internet Explorer:

13404: "UPDATE: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Available"

13405: "UPDATE: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Available - Pending Restart"

23111: "UPDATE: Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 Available"

45201: "UPDATE: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 Available"

45202: "UPDATE: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 Available - Known Issues"

45203: "UPDATE: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 Available - Pending
Restart"

Please contact BigFix Technical Support (enterprisesupport at bigfix.com) if
you have any questions regarding these advisories or the available service
pack updates. Patch Management is an important part of the BigFix
Vulnerability and Configuration Management Suite.
