[Announcements for BES Administrators]

The MS06-078 update for Windows XP SP2 has been modified to correctly
identify vulnerable versions of the file "wmvcore.dll".  The previous
version of the Fixlet messages can become relevant on computers that
have already applied the patch.  If the patch was re-deployed through
the "CORRUPT PATCH" Fixlet message, the action would report back as
"Failed".  The file check relevance has been updated to address this
issue.

607803  MS06-078: Vulnerability in Windows Media Format Could Allow
Remote Code Execution - Windows XP SP2

607804  MS06-078: CORRUPT PATCH - Windows XP SP2

 

BES Administrators are encouraged to verify open actions involving this
