BigFix is pleased to announce the availability of new Wizards and content
additions to the "BES License and Inventory" and "Security Policy Manager"
sites.

Expanded "BES License and Inventory" - Hardware Inventory (AIX) and USB
Devices Detection (Windows):

New tasks and analyses have been published to the "BES License and
Inventory" site that allow you to audit hardware inventory from your AIX
clients and retrieve information about connected USB devices on Windows
clients.. Examples of the new capabilities include:

Hardware Inventory (AIX) - CPU, Hard Disks, RAID, Tape Drives, Network
Adapter, Video Controller, Audio Device, etc.
USB Devices Detection (Windows) - Connected USB Devices.

Expanded "Security Policy Manager" - MBSA 2.0, Removable Media, and Account
Policies:

New content has been added to the "Security Policy Manager" site that allows
you to configure and audit security configurations across your BES
deployment.  New capabilities include:

Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) 2.0 - Fixlet messages, Tasks,
Analyses, and a Wizard allow the user to deploy MBSA 2.0, scan for
vulnerabilities, and retrieve detected vulnerability information back into

Removable Media - A dozen Tasks allows you to disable and restore future use
of removable media devices. This includes USB storage devices, cd-rom
drives, floppy drives, PCMCIA devices, etc.
Account Policies - The new "Security Settings - Account Policies" analysis
allows you to retrieve account policies settings such as "maximum password
age", "minimum password length", "account lockout threshold", etc. More

New Application Tracking Wizard:

The Wizard allows you to track application usage on BES clients running
Windows.  The wizard generates Fixlet messages and retrieved properties that
can be used to detect and track information such as number of times
launched, total time used, and last run time. This wizard is available to
customers subscribed to the "BES Inventory and License" site. More

New Red Hat Enterprise Linux RPM Deployment Wizard:

The Wizard assists you in deploying arbitrary RPM packages, allowing
deployment of single or multiple RPM packages to BES clients running Red Hat
Enterprise Linux. A new analysis and task have also been added to allow
retrieval of detailed RPM deployment results. A list of wizards is
accessible through the "Wizards" menu in the BES console. This wizard is
available to customers subscribed to the "Patches for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux" site.

New AIX Fileset Deployment Wizard:

The Wizard assists you in deploying AIX fileset updates, allowing deployment
of single or multiple AIX filesets to BES clients running AIX 5.1, 5.2, and
5.3. A new analysis has also been added to allow retrieval of detailed AIX
fileset deployment results. A list of wizards is accessible through the
"Wizards" menu in the BES console. This wizard is available to customers
subscribed to the "Patches for AIX" site. More information regarding the
